Cream of celery
Fresh, creamy celery goodness
Ingredients
- about 2 sticks chopped into small pieces Celery
- 1/4 white onion diced
- 2 small potatoes diced
- 200ml of vegetable or chicken stock ( you can either use your own stock or make up 200ml with 1/2 a stock cube
- single cream or creme fraiche ( depending on how creamy you like it )
- Salt and white pepper
Instructions
- Chop the celery into small pieces and add to the soup maker
- Dice the potato and onion and add to the soup maker
- Make up 200ml of stock and add to the soup maker
- Add salt and pepper - white pepper lends itself well to this recipe
- Replace the lid and switch on the power. Using the selection keys, highlight the SMOOTH program
- Press the start key. This program will cook and then blend the soup.. The program time is 19 minutes
- When the soup is ready the machine will beep and the Smooth light will flash. Carefully open the lid and add the cream, as much or as little as you wish
- Replace the lid and select the BLEND function, this will provide a ten second burst and mix together the hot soup with the cream.
- Serve your piping hot soup and don't forget to use the clean function so your soup maker is sparkling clean for the next time
