Chunky vegetable soup
Hearty and rustic. Easy to make. This is a great recipe to use when you’re just using up that last bit of veg. A bit of this a bit of that! Our recipe is just an example. This is ideal for you to make it your way Just for you.
Ingredients
- 50g Diced onion
- 1 small leaf Savoy cabbage or spinach
- 50g Carrot diced
- 20g potato diced
- 20g celery diced
- 20g frozen sweetcorn or beans
- 20g frozen peas
- 200ml vegetable stock
- 1/4 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
- 200ml vegetable or chicken stock
- to taste Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Place the vegetables into the machine
- You can either use your own stock or make up 200ml stock with half a stock cube or half a stock pot with hot water.
- Add the vegetable or chicken stock up to the MAX line inside the cup, taking care not to over fill.
- Connect the power cable. The lights will flash and the machine will beep
- Fit the lid correctly so that the shape of the lid matches the base. When the lid is fitted correctly the lights will stop flashing and the machine will stop beeping.
- The soup maker will automatically flash the ‘Smooth light’. Press the function button several times until the light lands on the “Chunky” setting.
- Press the start button once and the chunky light will remain solid. The Just Me Soup maker will gently cook your ingredients without blending. The program is around 24 mins
- When the program has completed you will hear 3 beeps. Carefully remove the lid and pour out your soup. Season with salt and pepper
