Leek and Potato Soup
This thick and creamy soup is a firm favourite - for that extra indulgent twist ,add a swirl of cream
Ingredients
- About 4 inches Chopped Leek
- 2 small Diced potatoes
- 1/4 small onion Chopped white onion
- 1 small clove Garlic, minced
- 1/2 Knorr vegetable or chicken Stockpot or stock cube
- 200ml hot water
- optional cream or creme fraiche
Instructions
- wash your leeks and chop into small pieces
- chop the potatoes into small dice sized chunks
- chop the onion into small pieces, and mince the garlic
- Add all the ingredients to the machine
- Make up 200ml of stock using half a stockpot, or half a stock cube,. You can of course use your own stock, only 200ml required
- pour the stock into the soup maker , be careful not to overfill above the MAX line inidcated inside the cup
- Replace the lid . When the lid is aligned correctly the machine will stop beeping ad the lights will stop flashing
- The machine will automatically settle on the SMOOTH program, press the start button
- The smooth light will stop flashing and remain constant - this means the cooking has started
- The program lasts 19 minutes. It will begin by gently cooking your ingredients and then it will start to intermittently blend the soup
- When the program has finished it will beep 3 times - twist the lid to reveal an overhanging lip, use this overhang to pull off the lid - BE CAREFUL HOT CONTENTS
- Pour out your lovely soup - add a swirl of cream - or not! the potatoes add a thick creaminess to this soup.
